Dear Butler Community,

We sincerely apologize for the technical issues we encountered last week as we attempted to launch our new vehicle registration website. We will be opening registration again through our Peoplesoft system. All students are required to obtain a permit through the Peoplesoft system. We hope to provide you with a smoother experience going forward.

Vehicle registration will reopen for students on Wednesday, August 5, at 8:00 a.m. EDT.

How To Register (Students): Visit your Butler Student Center at my.butler.edu and find the Register My Vehicle link under the Personal Information section of the page. Agreement to the Butler Parking Regulations is the first step and then you will be directed to the registration page. You will enter your vehicle information, select your permit type and the delivery address for your permit all on one page and hit the submit button. You will then see a confirmation screen. You can hit the return button to go back and review your information and see your assigned permit number.

Changes in Residency:
If you register your vehicle and purchase a parking permit prior to choosing Butler’s remote learning option for the fall semester, please contact Parking Services as soon as possible (park@butler.edu or 317-940-9243). You will receive a full refund. If you purchase a residential permit before choosing to live off-campus, we will contact you to coordinate a refund and/or a change to your permit type.

Permit Charges:
No student accounts received charges from the Clancy permit registration website. You will not be double charged for registering through Peoplesoft and there is no need for a refund prior to registering again. Permits are limited, and a wait list will be posted on August 6 at butler.edu/parking/permits. Once online registration closes September 7, you may visit the Parking Services Office (located inside the Sunset Avenue Parking Garage) to register a vehicle if permits are still available.

To find full details on parking permit options and determine which type of permit will best fit your needs, please visit butler.edu/parking/permits and click on the heading for “Student Permits.” If you will be parking a vehicle on campus at any time, please make sure to review Butler’s parking regulations and parking allocation map.

Again, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience many of you have faced during this process. Please feel free to contact us at park@butler.edu or 317-940-9243 with any questions you may have.

Best regards,
Jeremy Moore, APA
